Next, we see students not only working together in groups, but collaborating with the wider community: utilizing Convergence allies at Tilden to create authentic broadcast and music-based projects, responding to social issues via social media, blogging, etc.
But as we plan for students to work and collaborate together, there are issues that we must address: how do you handle situations in which students don't want to work with certain students? If you allow students to choose groups, would it be intrusive to force certain students into those groups? Can/should students work alone? Does working alone mean that students aren't collaborating since they will still be interacting with others digitally? These are questions that will no doubt need to be revisited as we explore this pillar of Collaboration.
